I picked these pants up on sale in downtown Sav yesterday and could hardly wait to put them on this morning. They are so freakin comfortable its actually ridiculous. I'd like to live my life in this material from now on.

metallic

From her chalk-dyed, twine-tied braids to her strong eyebrows and simply balmed lips, there's something about this look that's not only inspiring, but attainably replicate-able. The makeup is right on parr- slightly reminiscent of Pat McGrath's SS07 creations at D&G and Peter Philips' at Chanel the same season, yet also modernizing the metallic motif with a fresh new take for twenty thirteen. But can we please discuss the jewelry here for a moment? It's just overall cool. I love the little star necklace in the last photo, and Kristine's tragus and nose piercings are intriguing. I'm very much enjoying the gender symbol earring, so here's a similar one I found...

On our way home today, we decided to take side streets and back routes to shoot in a different setting. I find this hidden part of Savannah so interesting; the littered concrete, the grime of the sloppily mortared brick walls, the vandalized dumpsters and shattered glass windows of the abandoned, crumbling buildings. It's all concealed by the quaint charm of historic downtown and the friendly allure of the boutiques and candy shoppes down by the river. The tourists spilling out the door and around the corner of the Lady and Sons hardly notice the filth, but I do. And I like it.
